From Corporate Leader to Executive Coach
My transition from a corporate leader to an Executive Coach wasn't just a career pivot; it was a journey of redefining success on my own terms. It's a path I've walked and one I'm passionate about helping others navigate.
A recent interview made me reflect on how my definition of success has evolved and what I have learnt along the way:
1. Relationships are your true wealth.
Meaningful success is never a solo act. The connections you build—with supporters, mentors, colleagues, clients, and your personal network—are the foundation that elevates you.
2. Your definition of success is the only one that matters.
Don't get caught in the trap of chasing others' ideals of success (titles, salary, likes). Real fulfillment emerges when your goals, values, and energy are perfectly aligned.
3. Impact and presence are two sides of the same coin.
High achievers often struggle to deliver results while being fully present in the moment. Remember, success isn't just about the outcome; it's about how you experience the journey.
4. Growth lives just beyond your comfort zone.
It means embracing opportunities even when fear whispers "no." Pushing through discomfort is where true transformation happens.
5. Your authenticity is your superpower, and adaptability is your shield.
The best leaders leverage their true selves and develop new skills to navigate challenges. It's not about changing who you are, but expanding what you can do.
These insights are not just personal reflections; they are also core principles that I use to guide my work with my executive coaching clients as they redefine their own paths to success and fulfillment.
